Muenchens Furniture has been around since 1956. In 2001, the 3rd generation and current owner at the time Stephen W. Muenchen decided he was ready for retirement and shut down the business. Only a few short months later, Stephen M. Muenchen decided to give re-opening the store a shot.

At 17 years old, he began his tireless effort to build the company back from the ground up by opening up booths at Trader’s World Flea Market; well, one booth turned into several booths and before Steve knew it he was renting the original Muenchens location on Colerain Avenue from the 2nd generation owners; William and Jean Muenchen.

After a few short years at the Colerain location Steve made the decision to re-open the Shandon location as well to begin building the business back to where it once was. The Colerain location was sold to another company leaving Steve with the Shandon location only while he searched for a new retail location.

In 2011, Steve realized one of his dreams and opened up his second full retail location in Eastgate. Eastgate has thrived and the business has continued to grow at a great pace.

In 2013, Steve opened up his corporate office and distribution center in Blue Ash, Ohio; centrally located in the middle of both stores allowing for more efficient service and delivery.

Today Steve continues to be an incredibly passionate and hands on owner. He works hard to create a positive experience for his employees as well as his customers. His goal is for his customers to have the best shopping experience possible and you can often find him working until the early hours of the morning doing everything he can to ensure that is the case.
